Quick answer

Add, remove and reorder product photos before listing or relisting. Compare processed photos with originals during review, and find uploaded files in Drive.

How do I add or reorder product photos?

For an existing product, open Details → Product photos in the listing drawer or workflow, or Product Images on the full product page. Select the + tile (Add more images) to upload photos from your device, drag thumbnails to reorder them, and select a photo's × button to remove it. Keep at least one photo; add a replacement first if the product has only one. Products support up to 24 photos.

The first photo is the cover. Changes save to the product and apply the next time you list or relist it; this does not update photos on listings that are already live. Photos cannot be edited while a product is relisting or after it is sold, shipped or completed. Your workspace role needs permission to edit products.

Drafts in review also have the + tile, thumbnail reordering and remove buttons.

To start new listings from photos, choose Create. One upload takes up to 500 images, which Shopfront groups into items. See AI listing generation.

How do I compare a processed photo with the original?

During draft review, when a photo has been processed, a label shows AI Enhanced, Background Removed or Enhanced & BG Removed. Use the Original switch on the photo to flip between the processed version and your original.

Check every processed photo before you list; see Image enhancement.

Monthly allowances

Enhancement and background removal use separate monthly allowances. If processing stops, check Settings → Billing → Usage.

Where are my uploaded files stored?

Photos you upload are saved in Drive. Select Drive above an existing product's photo gallery to open your files. Removing a photo from a product does not delete the original file from Drive.

Imported marketplace photos may still be hosted by the marketplace and may not have an upload folder in Drive. You can still add new photos to those products.

Photos uploaded with Create can also be organised in Drive and used to create new listings.
